This American Man Found Love in the Philippines

“Simple, conservative, and family-oriented.” These are the exact qualities George was looking for in a woman.

George is an American man who has dated multiple women from his hometown. But most of the American women that he knew or dated failed to live up to his expectations.

In my experience, the majority of American women were materialistic and driven by money.

George and Annamayer are both Catholics. So he decided to make his proposal traditional and memorable. He then took her to one of the churches in Davao City, the St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

It was in that beautiful church when Annamayer gave George her sweetest “yes.” George also realized at that precise moment that he had finally found the woman for whom he had been searching his entire life.

It took a couple of months for them to finally get married in the United States. With Philippine-Women’s help, Annamayer was able to get her visa and papers processed to make their marriage legal.

I’m not good with papers. But the service made it easy.

They officially got married in the United States and are extremely happy.

Because marriage is a big thing for Filipinos, they decided to have another wedding celebration in the Philippines, and on Annamayer’s birthday no less. It was an opportunity for all her family to be there and celebrate her marriage together.

George’s Advice to Other American Men

I think that the American guys who’ve been looking for a really good, traditional, and family-oriented woman should come to Davao or Cebu. If you’re really looking for someone to share the rest of your lives with that you can depend on, you don’t have to worry because [Filipinas] she’s going to be faithful, and she’s going to be a great wife.

Their story proves that sometimes we don’t realize that we’re looking for love in the wrong places, and it takes the right person to make us realize that.
